Dr. Fatuma Hassan

Executive Director & Founder

A public health physician with over 15 years of experience in community health programs across East Africa. Dr. Hassan founded Afya Nzuri after witnessing firsthand the healthcare gaps in rural communities.

Education: MD from University of Nairobi, MPH from Johns Hopkins

Key Achievements: WHO Excellence Award 2020, Kenya Medical Association Community Service Award

James Kiprotich

Program Director

An experienced program manager specializing in community health worker training and rural health system strengthening. James has led health programs in 6 African countries.

Education: MSc Global Health from London School of Hygiene

Key Achievements: Led successful CHW programs reaching 50,000+ beneficiaries

Dr. Amara Sesay

Medical Director

A practicing physician and medical educator focused on tropical medicine and emergency healthcare delivery in resource-limited settings.
